Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and The $1.1 Million Charity Bid

According to the company, the new Mustang GT500 is about to go on sale later this year, but before that, they wanted to introduce their latest piece to the market and what better way of an introduction than charity bidding for a logical and good cause.

Yes, Ford presented they’re first ever piece of latest Mustang Shelby GT500 for auction, and it went boom.

If I say that the car was sold for $1.1 million in an auction for charity bidding, then you might yes, of course, its Ford after all.

Ford auctions this marvelous new HIGH-PERFORMANCE CAR last night at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale. The amount of the winning bid will go into the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation or JDRF.

Craig Jackson, Chairman, and CEO of Barratt-Jackson was present, and he was the winning bidder.

He was over the moon in becoming the first man to own the Shelby GT500, and he told the reporters that what a great honor it was to own the very first 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 car.

He also said that he is more than glad that the amount he spends will go into some honest and much-needed fundraising and awareness programs like JDRF.

The winner of the auction also gets to have full impact in deciding and selecting the final color of the car when produced and also in other features added.

The car was presented by the Elson B. Ford II and Aaron Shelby on to the stage. They mentioned it to the audience that the company contributes $3.5 million annually to the JDRF.

2020 Shelby GT500 is a powerhouse car by Ford who is powered by 5.2-litre cross-plane crank, supercharged V8 with over 700 of horsepower.

This car is a welcome back badge to the latest Mustang, and it has dropped its usual manual transmission but introduced a new speed dual clutch which shares an original GT supercar.

When the car is available for sale, the buyer will get the honor of choosing from different handling packs and carbon fiber wheels.
