Even after eight years, the Jeep Compass remains popular, with 84,474 units sold in the U.S. by September 2024—an 18% increase from last year. While a new version is on the way, a teaser has just been released ahead of its debut in Europe next September.

The design sketch shows exciting news: the Compass will become fully electric using the STLA Medium platform. Don’t worry, though—traditional combustion engine and hybrid options will still be available. Jeep aims to offer a version for everyone since the Compass is its most globally available model.

The new Compass will start production at Stellantis’ Melfi plant in Italy next year, with plans to expand to North America and other areas by 2026. In the U.S., it will fit between a brand-new Renegade and the Recon, along with a yet-to-be-revealed utility vehicle, all set to launch by 2027.

The teaser suggests a fresh look for the Compass, possibly tweaking the quarter glass and appearing slightly larger around the C and D rear pillars. It shares its platform with other Stellantis models like the Peugeot 3008 and 5008, Opel Grandland, and the upcoming Citroën C5 Aircross.

The E-3008 is Stellantis’s debut on this platform, delivering up to 435 miles on a single charge. Available in front- and all-wheel drive, it features 73- and 98-kWh battery options and supports fast 160-kW DC charging.

Jeep’s version will share many features with its European models.
